The Word of God

Colossians 1:28 - "Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:"

Prayer Requests

Please pray for the people of Spain. Pray that the Lord will begin to soften their hearts for the Word of God, that Spain may be turned upside down for His glory.

YOU NEVER KNOW. . .
You never know who stands behind that door. As Joseph and I knocked on doors tonight, we met many different types of people.
We met a middle-aged woman who claimed to have all things clear in her life in her agnosticism. She rejected a belief in God and in the Bible, but yet quick to believe in Martians. We did leave her with some thoughts to the accuracy and fulfillment of our Bible, and of the living proof that Joseph and I were standing on her doorstep. Proof that God is real and that He does change lives. Sadly she shut the door on us with that note.
We also met Pilar, who at 90 years of age quickly agreed with all that we said concerning salvation having nothing to do with works. But then in the next breath told us of her faithfulness in going to communion at the catholic church and that she is a “creyente”—believer. Most in Spain will classify themselves as either a “believer” (meaning that you do go to the catholic church sometimes) or a “non-practicing believer” (obviously meaning that you never go). It is when talking with theses “believers” that we see the blindness that they have to the real truth. The catholic church has so deceived them that they really think they are heaven bound, but sadly do not see the truth behind John 14:6~”And Jesus saith unto them, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me”.
Then we met Manoli. In the beginning it was obvious that she was listening out of kindness, but then the more that we spoke, the more she opened up. She listened to the plan of salvation, and allowed us to open the Bible with her. She said that she wanted to think about all that was shown her and that she would read what we had given her (letter from the church, gospel tract, and John/Romans). She has invited us to come back so pray that God’s Word will soften her heart.
God is so good!! Sadly the majority quickly reject when they realize that we carry a Bible. But God always gives us at least one “Manoli” to share with and that listens well.
