We are independent Baptist Missionaries who believe God has called us to plant churches in the country of Spain. Our sending church and agency is Madison Baptist Church in Madison, AL.
Stated below is what we believe according to the Bible:
THE BIBLE - The sixty-six books... (more info)
The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament in Its original writings was verbally and plenarily inspired and is a product of Spirit controlled men. It is both infallible and inerrant. It is the true center of Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human creed and conduct should be measured. We believe the Bible to be the supernatural, complete, and final revelation of God to man that is preserved by God from generation to generation. The Bible is my authority by which I preach, teach, and live my life.(2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Ps 119:89, Ps 12:6-7, Matt 4:4, Heb 4:12, 1 Thess 2:13, Ps 119:160).
I believe God has preserved his Word without error in the English language thru the King James Version that was translated word-for-word according to the inspired, original manuscripts. In the same way, I believe that God preserved His word in the Spanish language through the Reina Valera 1960.
GOD - We believe in one true... (more info)
We believe in one true and living God (Ex 20:2-3, Deut 6:4), who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19). Each are equal in presence yet having distinct personalities and functions, working together harmoniously.
FATHER - He is the first person... (more info)
He is the first person of the Holy Trinity. He is perfect in all, righteous, merciful, and all-powerful. He is holy, eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, and immutable.
(1 Cor. 11:3, Matt 5:48, Rev. 4:8)
JESUS CHRIST - We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ... (more info)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and wholly human (Jn 10:30), who was the prophesied Messiah (Isaiah 7:14) born of a virgin in the form of a man (Matt 1:22-23, Gal 4:4), and dwelt among us (Jn 1:14). That He was sinlessly perfect (Heb 4:15, 1 Jn 3:5) and gave Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice (2 Cor 5:21) by shedding His blood and dying on the cross (Titus 2:14, Heb 10:10-13, Heb 9:12-28, Acts 13:38-39) for the sins of all mankind (Heb 2:9, 1 Jn 2:2). That He was buried and rose again the third day (1 Cor 15:3-4) and is now seated on the right hand of the Father (Heb 10:12).
HOLY SPIRIT - We believe that the Holy Spirit... (more info)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine nature being equal with and having the same nature of God the Father and Son (Jn 14:16-17). He is the Agent in the new birth, convicting and regenerating men (Jn 3:5), and that He seals (Eph 1:13) and indwells (Rom 8:9) every believer into the body of Christ at the moment of salvation (1 Cor 12:13).
TRINITY - We worship one God... (more info)
We worship one God who manifests Himself in three persons-the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Gen 1:1 shows God-Elohim-as plural even in creation. The Father is recognized as God (Rom 1:7), the Son as God (Titus 2:12-13), and the Holy Spirit as God (Acts 5:3-4). We see the three together in Matt 3:16-17, 28:19-20, and 2 Cor 13:14.
CREATION - We believe that God created... (more info)
We believe that God created the universe and all that it contains from nothing, apart from any preexisting material (Gen 1:1-3). His creation was spoken into existence in literal days according to the Genesis account and not by evolution (Ex 20:11, Col 1:16-17, Heb 11:3).
MAN - We believe that God created man... (more info)
We believe that God created man in His own image (Gen 1:26-27) and that man sinned by choice and brought upon himself and all mankind physical death (separation of the body and soul) and spiritual death (separation from God) (Rom 6:23). All men are born with a sinful nature; in thought, word, and deed (Rom 3:10-13, Titus 1:15-16). DEPRAVITY OF MAN - Man is completely lost in his sins and in need of a Savior (Rom 3:10, 23; 5:12). The fall came in Gen 3:4-6, and from that moment man has been debased and corrupt (Eph 4:19). He is in a sinful state—sinful in nature and practice (Ps 51:5, Titus 3:3). Man is though able to respond to God and the Gospel while in his unregenerate state, contrary to the Calvinistic view of total depravity. They push a regeneration before faith, clearly refuted in Jn 1:12-13 and Jn 20:31. TWO NATURES OF MAN - The sinner has but one nature, the child of God has two natures (Gal 5:17). The old nature, the natural man is the carnal nature that all mankind possesses at birth, it is inherited from Adam. The flesh is in us, rather than us in the flesh (Jn 3:6, 1 Cor 2:14). The divine, new nature comes in that moment of salvation when a man accepts Christ as Savior (Eph 4:24). It is a Christly, imparted, unchangeable, holy nature.
HEAVEN - We believe that heaven is a real... (more info)
We believe that heaven is a real and literal place to where Jesus Christ ascended (Acts 1:9-11) and is the home of all believers after their death or the rapture (Jn 14:1-4).
HELL - We believe that hell is a literal... (more info)
We believe that hell is a literal place that was created for the devil and his angels (Matt 25:41). It is a place of punishment (Matt 25:46), fire (Matt 13:42-50), torment (Luke 16:23), and darkness (2 Peter 2:17, Jude 13) where those who reject Christ go when they die. Later they shall be brought forth to be judged at the great white throne (Rev 20:13) and then cast into the lake of fire.
SALVATION - We believe that salvation is a free gift... (more info)
We believe that salvation is a free gift (Rom 6:23) that is offered to all who will believe (Rom 10:9-10) through the atonement of Christ and His atoning work on the cross (Rom 3:25). It is the work of the Father (Rom 1:16) through the Son (Acts 4:12) by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5). Salvation rests in the finished work of Jesus Christ, securing the believer throughout eternity (Jn 10:28-29). JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH- God declares the believer to be righteous (Rom 1:17; 3:24, 28). He is pardoned because of the payment by his substitute Jesus Christ (Rom 5:1). He is declared justified, in a state of good standing, because of his faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
ETERNAL SECURITY - We believe in the eternal security ... (more info)
We believe in the eternal security of the believer in Jesus Christ (Jn 3:16, 10:27-28; Rom 8:31-39; 1 Jn 5:11-13). Salvation is not of works and cannot be kept through works (Eph 2:8-9).
THE CHURCH - We believe that the Church... (more info)
We believe that the Church, which is Christ’s body (Eph 1:22-23), is the spiritual organism consisting of all born again believers of this New Testament dispensation (1 Cor 12:13). We believe the church is a visible, called out assembly of baptized believers united together for the carrying out of the great commission (Acts 2:41-42, 47; 5:42). Each New Testament church was established as a local autonomous group (1 Cor 1:2, Gal 1:2, Phil 1:1, Rev 2-3). There are two offices for the church, those of pastor and deacon (Titus 1:5, 1 Tim 3). The ordinances of the church are baptism (Rom 6:3-4, Matt 28:19) and the Lord’s supper (1 Cor 11:23-27).
SEPERATION - The believer is to practice separation... (more info)
Personal: The believer is to practice personal separation from the world (2 Cor 6:14-17, James 4:4, 1 Jn 2:15-17). He is also to practice separation from those who are walking disorderly (1 Cor 5:11, 2 Thess 3:6). Ecclesiastical: The church should not be a part of any organization, association, or group that would compromise the Word of God (Rom 16:17, 2 Jn 8-11). We desire to work in cooperation only with other missionaries and/or churches of like faith.
ESCHATOLOGY - We believe that Jesus Christ... (more info)
We believe that Jesus Christ may come at any moment to snatch up all believers bodily (1 Thess 4:15-17) before the coming tribulation. All who are dead in Christ will be raised immediately followed by all who are alive and remain. The Judgment Seat of Christ (Rom 14:9-10, 1 Cor 3:11-15, 2 Cor 5:10) will occur after the rapture and during the seven years of tribulation on the earth (Dan 9:24-27, 12:1; Matt 24:21; Rev 4-19) to reveal our works, as to what sort they are. We believe in the literal, millennial reign of Jesus Christ on the earth (Rev 20:4-6), which will be characterized by peace and righteousness (Isaiah 11:5-9). After the millennium, all unbelievers of all ages will be judged at the Great White Throne of God and will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity (Rev 20:15).
GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - He is the agent... (more info)
He is the agent in the new birth that regenerates, sanctifies, and seals the believer. He consoles us and guides us in an obedient life to God (Jn 3:3-8, 16:7-13; 2 Cor 2:10-12). He builds the church (Eph 2:22) and indwells the believer (1 Cor 6:19), not based on feeling but based on the believer having acted on what Christ has already done on the cross. Before Pentecost the Spirit was with them; after Pentecost the Spirit was in them and is in all that are Christ’s.
