Prayer Requests

Pray that the dollar may get stronger against the euro. This situation is affecting a lot of missionaries and works here in Spain

MAKING REQUEST WITH JOY--PHIL. 1:4

Sample Image

Our prayer/update letter will come out the end of this month, but we wanted to start highlighting specific requests once a month on the website.
  • Praying for a new family with children. We are praying that God will add to His church one family at a time. Of the faithful ones attending now, none have young children; and the children that have been reached in the past are not presently permitted by their parents to attend.
  • Praying for soft hearts this summer. We are praying that God will soften not only the hearts of the people in Gijon, but also the hearts of the many that are coming from the US to help this summer. May the Lord call more laborers to this needy field!
  • Praying for those who have heard. We are praying for Gustavo, Horanila, Jose, Kike, Diana, Pedro, Conchi, and the many others who have expressed an interest to hear more, but have yet to visit the church for a service.
  • Praying for summer activities. We are praying for the weekly Bible Clubs to be held on Fridays, the Vacation Bible School during the last week of June, and the summer camps.
  • Praying for those attending. We are praying for those who have been attending regularly to stay firm: Chris, Rosa, and Edit.
    • Pray for Edit. Her new job has her moved out of Gijon and won’t allow her to attend any more. Aviles is only 15 minutes from Gijon, and although they promised her that she could be off on Sundays, they haven’t allowed her to have off and have told her that she won’t be able to leave on Sundays. There are no Bible preaching churches that we know of in Aviles, but she has been able to come to the ladies meetings on Fridays at 12:00. Pray for another job for her that will allow her to get back to church.
    • Pray for Délia. Délia is the wife of Chris, a Spaniard married to an Englishman that has been attending for some time now. Chris says that she was saved several years ago in England. After they moved back to Spain they started attending a radical charismatic church. Now she is afraid of religion. Also, she is afraid of people because of her very hard past. God is really doing a great work in Chris’ heart and we pray that he may be a testimony and that she may overcome her fears and allow Christ to control her life and allow us an open door to minister to her.

As you pray for SPAIN, keep in mind the map below. The yellow shaded provinces are those that are still without a gospel-preaching church. Many of the provinces that do have a gospel-preaching church (grey shaded), only have 1 church for the entire province.
