The Word of God

Colossians 1:28 - "Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:"

Prayer Requests

Pray that the dollar may get stronger against the euro. This situation is affecting a lot of missionaries and works here in Spain

The months of October and November have been extremely busy!!  We started the end of October going door-to-door and personally inviting those around the church while we passed out 5000 invitations.  A great thank you goes to Jeff and Deanna Andrews who came down from Madrid for a couple of days to help us get out about 800 in the rain and cold.  My parents then came for their first visit to Spain during the end of November, and my dad, Gary, went out with me each morning as we finished up the last 1700.

While passing out the invitations, we have had a chance to know more about the spiritual condition of the people in Granada. Like anywhere in Spain you find people that say that are Catholics but admit of the failures and contradictions of the religion. Most admit to have really nothing to do with the church, but also admit that they are not looking for any change in their relationship with God. We have seen though that here in the south they are more willing to open doors and allow us to share with them what we believe and what we preach. We know that the Word of God has the power to soften hearts and change lives and we are praying that God would do a great work here in Granada. We have also seen that evangelical churches (Pentecostal most often) are more known here too. So we also have to "fight" against false doctrines. What a blessing it is to know that we hold the truth.

Lucio, the gentleman that got saved and that we told you about in our last prayer letter, has been a great example of faithfulness. He has only missed 1 service (on a trip) since getting saved during the beginning of October.  He has been a special blessing and did a great job helping me as an usher for the first service.

Another special blessing that the Lord has sent us has been Olga. She is a godly Christian lady from Germany that is here in Granada for a few months because of college. She got in contact with us though our web page. When the Puentes moved up to Madrid to fill a need in a church there, she told us she played the piano and has been our piano player ever since. God is so good. She is a great help and a friend.

Praise God for 11 on the first day (includes us)!  We had expected another 10 that had stopped by during the week to tell us that they would be there for the first service, but we praise the Lord for the 4 unsaved that heard a clear presentation of the Gospel!  Pray for those that heard the gospel for the first time: Janina, Pilar, Montse and Isabel. This last one is the owner of the building we are renting.  She has requested Bible studies.  We also ask you to pray for Alfonso (friend from football who has shown much interest in coming), Wilson (son of Lucio), Maria and Maite-these are all ones who are unsaved, but have shown much interest in the church.

We pray for at least one family that can help make up the foundation of this new church and ask you to unite with us in this prayer.

During this month of December we want to print 2,000 fliers every week announcing the sermon for the Sunday Service. Lord willing this will be another tool to let people know where we are.

We are still needing some last things for the church. The biggest need right now is a sign for the street that will allow more people to see us from any side of the street. We do have a sign above the entrance, but the locale is set off of the street about 30 ft., so the visibility is difficult from the street. The cost would be approximately $400.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support!  God is sooo good!!!

As a missionary here in Spain told us, ‘Have faith in God because the work is His'.
