PRAYER LETTER- APRIL 2008 |

Dear supporting churches and praying friends:
It is so hard to believe that 1 year ago at this time, we were settling into Spain. God has shown us so much this first year, we have learned much, and realize that there is so much more to learn.
We have been through many ups and downs, but God has always been faithful and we see how His timing isn't always our timing.
As we have seen the US dollar drop another $,30 to the euro in this last year, God has answered with an anonymous gift for the purchase of a new digital duplicator, color laser printer, and all that is necessary to get set up. This equipment will allow us to print 20.000 black/white flyers a month and 2.000 color flyers/tracts for mass distribution throughout the city. What a great tool this will be as mass mailbox distribution is largely used in Spain.
In this 1st year . . .
. . . we have seen many come and go for different reasons, but there has settled a good group in the church now and we are seeing God at work in their lives. Nacho came for the first time during our "7 Questions" campaign. He has had a very difficult life, like many we meet here, but has a great desire to talk with everyone about the Lord. He is always encouraging to talk with.
Agda has changed so much since her salvation. She passed our invitations to the easter service to those in her classes. She has a burden for her friend Celia, has invited her to church, and taken Pilar with her to visit Celia. Agda also told Pilar recently that either her old friends have changed or she has changed because she doesn´t have anything in common with them anymore. Pray for her boyfriend, Rubén, who hasn´t allowed us to visit, but recently told Agda that there are things that he needs to change in his life.
Miguel & Kristi began coming last fall and have been very faithful. We are seeing God at work in this young couple's heart; they are a help and blessing to the work.
Please keep the following in prayer:
God's direction in our lives as we seek for a place to start a church upon the return of the Contreras (I will make a trip in April to Granada).
Chris, the englishman who has been faithful for over a year, has started going with his wife to the catholic church in hopes that she will turn to God.
Safety and new support for the Contreras as they are on furlough until July.
The salvation of Rubén, the boyfriend of Agda.
The salvation of Celia. She is a catholic friend of Agda, who is open to the gospel and has allowed Pilar to open the Bible with her in her own home.
Spiritual growth of Agda, Miguel & Kristi, and Nacho. Also for Rosa, Edit, and Clemeide who come when their work situations allow.
Two new visitors that came this past Sunday (3/30)-Daisy and Susanna.
