Back to Spain
On January 13, Becky and I head back to Spain after a profitable and relaxing furlough. Although we were only in the States a total of four months we were able to visit churches in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Arizona.

We just spent the Christmas holidays with Jonathan and his family. It was a good time of fun and relaxation for all of us. He and his family have been on the road since August visiting churches in order to raise funds to go to Costa Rica as missionaries. They would appreciate your prayers for safety and prosperity as they travel and visit churches during the coming year. Be sure to visit his web page "Vida Ministries".

A Special Thanks to Eastland Baptist Church

Becky and I have literally been overwhelmed by the generosity and loving spirit of our sending church, Eastland Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK. The church not only provided us with a nice place to live and with a vehicle to use during our four-month furlough, but the members of Eastland have wholeheartedly welcomed us into their hearts and homes.

It is a five minute presentation of our ministry and the need for more workers in Spain. If anyone would like a copy on DVD, please contact me personally.

Brief History of our Ministry

Becky and I have now served as missionaries to Spain since 1971. Our early years were occupied with learning the Spanish language, learning more about the history and the culture of the Spanish people, and helping Lavon and Carolyn Waters in the establishing of the "Iglesia Bautista Calvario" (Calvary Baptist Church) of Madrid. Seven years later we opened the Bible Baptist Church of Mostoles as a mission out of the Madrid church.

When we moved to Mostoles in 1975, it was quickly becoming a thriving bedroom community of Madrid with a fast-growing population of 100,000, and yet without a single evangelical church. We organized our mission into a New Testament Baptist church in July, 1983. Since that time our church has produced two young men who were saved and trained under our ministry and then went into full-time service. Our church has served as "mother church" for five mission churches, three of which are now organized independent Baptist churches.
