NEWS. . . . We have started our seven week campaign to answer common questions of man. The questions are: Does God Exist? Is the Bible Trustworthy? Does God Care about Me? What is my Purpose? Is there a Judgment? What if I am Wrong? Who is Jesus Christ? We have had visitors come during this time: Josefina, Gustavo, Francisco, and Maria; some having received a flyer of the 2000 we are passing out each week and others who have noticed the big poster printings that we are putting on the front window. Please pray for these who have now heard a clear presentation of the gospel, that we would see them come to salvation and become a part of our little congregation. Lord willing the question “Who is Jesus Christ?” will be presented on the Sunday before Christmas, also the same day as our Christmas program that is set for 23 Dec. We would like to take this program into the residence homes here in the city, but that is not something easily accomplished. Usually you must have a contact within the home to be able to do a presentation of any sort, so pray for an open door.

INSIGHT & PRAYER. . . . Keep Lucía in your prayers! About 6 weeks ago, at our 9:30 Saturday night men’s prayer time, a woman named Lucía stopped in. It turns out that she lives in the building next to the church, and finally stopped in to find out about us. From everything that she said that night, she was very confused and had visited many different churches looking for the truth. She said that she was trying to read the Bible, but couldn’t understand it. The next Sunday she was there for service and came again a few weeks later. Pilar and Daniela have spent much time in Bible study with her, and in there last meeting she shared with them her faith in Jesus Christ alone for her salvation. Sometime through the Bible studies and services, she finally saw that Christ had died for every one of her sins and that He is the only way! She has a sincere desire to grow and to know her Lord better. She is currently away visiting her son, but has told us recently that she is coming back early because she is excited to continue in the church and Bible studies. Pray for her as she is away, that Satan won’t creep in and steal her desire to grow. Meanwhile, we are mailing her discipleship material and staying in contact by phone.

Daniel continues to come along with Miguel and his new wife, Kristi (from Colorado). Soon though, Daniel will be leaving us. He is a true example of a Christian that wants to serve God wherever and however God lets him. He will be leaving for Shanghai, and he is excited about working and helping in the underground churches there. While he has been here, Jeff Andrews and I have had weekly Bible studies with him, in addition to having him for Sunday services. He has brought many visitors out for the services and was out last month to help us with the pueblo project.
